Manny “Profe” Arias, a native of El Salvador, has been a central figure in the Arizona soccer community for many years.

A former coach for the semi-pro Arizona Sahuaros of the United Soccer League, as well as the Arizona Heatwave of the Women’s Soccer Association, Manny has been the driving force in establishing and directing many Arizona club teams, including Chivas USA, Atlas FC Academy, and Barcelona FC, prior to coming to the Verde Valley/Sedona area and establishing Club Estudiantez.

Profe Arias is also a well-regarded coach of the Arizona Youth ODP as well as an instructor for the Arizona Youth Soccer Association.

Ricardo Hinds, a native of Venezuela, an integral part of boys and girls soccer in the Nogales/Tucson area, will be returning for his second year as assistant coach for Arizona Strikers FC.

Hinds soccer credentials include:

  • 3 years as a coach for the Arizona Olympic Development Program
  • Arizona Youth Soccer Association coaches staff instructor
  • Current Pima County Junior Soccer League Director of Coaching
  • 1st year as head coach for Varsity Girls Soccer at Pueblo High School (Tucson)
  • US Soccer Federation National “C” license and “Youth” license, in addition to a US Soccer Federation grade 8 Referee level.
  • AZ Champions FC youth soccer club, founder and coach

Ricardo has been instrumental in transitioning the Arizona Strikers FC franchise from Sedona to their new home in Yuma for the 2015 season.

Jesus is a Yuma native and well-respected figure in the Yuma soccer community. As assistant coach under Coach Arias, Jesus brings a wealth of high level playing and coaching experience to the Arizona Strikers FC.

In addition to an elite playing career in Arizona, Jesus most recently has been an assistant coach at Yuma Catholic from 2001-2005, a state championship team for two years. For the past five years Jesus has coached girls in the “Legends” club organization, reaching the ranking of #15 in the state of Arizona with his 99 Girls squad. He is currently the Director of Coaching of the Yuma Legends FC competitive program

Arizona Strikers FC is privileged to have a local talent of Jesus’ caliber to help coach the team’s 2015 season in Yuma.

Any players in the Yuma area who have spent time “between the posts” are bound to have received instruction from this Yuma native.

Certified as a goalkeeper trainer by the Levante Union Deportiva-European Sports Business School (Spain), Victor has left his mark on area goalkeepers on all levels of play.

In Boys Club soccer, Victor has coached the keepers of the:

  • Spartan FC Boys U-14-U18
  • Yuma Palermo Boys U-13
  • Yuma Gambetas U-15

With girls soccer, Victor has been the assistant coach and goalkeeper trainer for the Yuma Legends Girls U14 as well as the goalkeeper trainer for the Kofa High School varsity boys squad.

Another Yuma native who has been immersed in the soccer community, Joel had a successful playing career at the men’s powerhouse Yavapai College from 2005-2007. He finished out his collegiate career playing for Grand Canyon University in Phoenix from 07-09, where he graduated with a B.S. in Corporate Fitness and Wellness.

Joel received extensive experience doing specific training for soccer players while working for the Phoenix company, Sports Performance Republic. In addition to coaching his U15 boys club team, the Gambetas here in Yuma, Joel has coached the Varsity Girls Soccer team at Cibola High School for the past three years.

In another example to show it’s emphasis on building good community relations, Arizona Strikers FC is happy to announce it’s partnership with the Yuma photography studio Azione and More Photography.

Photographer Betina Sanchez, a 17 year resident of Yuma, will be the Arizona Strikers FC official photographer, covering the tryout period, all 6 home games, as well as special events.

Ms. Sanchez brings an extensive resume, whose credits include local boxing events, Yuma Jaycees Rodeo, the law firm of Shadle & Walsmal PLC, and the Yuma Chamber of Commerce.
